Today's verse of the day on my Bible app was this: "I wait [patiently] for the Lord, my soul [expectantly] waits, and in His word do I hope." – Psalms 130:5 (AMP)
Wait on the Lord… Find hope in His word! Waiting is often easier said than done, right? I've been waiting on the Lord for healing, for love, for financial abundance—and the list could go on. But as I reflect on this waiting, I realize He has already been answering my prayers! I asked for healing, and He is healing me. I sought love, and I have found an audacious love in Him. I prayed for abundance, and His answer is always "Yes and Amen," because abundance comes in so many forms.
While He may not be healing my face as quickly as I’d like, He has healed my heart rapidly—and the process with my face is teaching me humility. I may not have the love of a Godly man yet, but I am already loved audaciously by the One who gave His life for mine. If that’s not love, then what is? As for financial abundance, I’m taking steps to improve my situation, and He has blessed me with abundance in every area of my life, including my finances.
I may not be where I want to be yet, but I’m certainly further than I used to be. When I look back, I see how far I've come! I am grateful for this season of waiting on the Lord and seeking His face in His Word. In those moments, I discover deeper intimacy with Him, along with healing, love, and abundance—plus the fulfillment of so many other promises He keeps. I even find answers I didn’t know I was looking for!
Lord, I’m going to wait on You! If You’re not in it, I don’t want it!
